Case 4: Global warming as an IT student

Climate is the temperature, humidity, precipitation, winds, radiation, and other meteorological conditions characteristic of a locality or region over an extended period of time.

Climate change is any long-term significant change in the “average weather” that a given region experiences. Average weather may include average temperature, precipitation and wind patterns .

The term Global Warming refers to the observation that the atmosphere near the Earth's surface is warming. This warming is one of many kinds of climate change that the Earth has gone through in the past and will continue to go through in the future. It is reasonable to expect that the Earth should warm as the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increases. It is known for certain that atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases are rising dramatically due to human activity. It is less well known exactly how the increases in these greenhouse gases factor in the observed changes of the Earth's climate and global temperatures

Human beings can contribute to global warming and climate change by polluting and cutting down rain forests, but humans can not control the climate or change it. The climate system is very complex and has many variables and components. Human beings do not control all the variables and components or the Planet Earth.

The technology is not the biggest contributor in climate change, it is the people who built it. We, people, are the biggest contributor in global climate change. It is not a question of "Why" or "How", it is seen in our wrong doings. The production of the green house gases in our planet is the primary cause of the global climate change.

Case 1: Using technology

For too many reasons, technology has a great impact in our daily lives. It help us to make our job and work more faster and quicker. In some point technology influences people to enhanced and upgrade gadgets so that people will be fit in the growing industry of technology. By enhancing the invented gadgets, it's a difficult role to make the specific gadget add some features. For example, unlike the cellphones from the past, technology evolves the face and the new models of the mobile phones or cellphone. With the help of the developing and the growing ideas of the people behind technologies, manufacturers add new features to mobile phones that people will appreciate.

Always expecting!

The word "Expect" is related to the word "Promise". Anyways, that's not the point in this post.More likely, some students thinks "I want to learn more about the subject or to get higher grade in this subject" when they are ask to write or share about their expectation in the subject. What do you expect? It's the most common and the very usual answer you can get from the student. COMP04 (Current Trends in Information Technology) deals with creating blogs and relating the past and present technologies. Our first meeting in this subject was likely funny. Again and again our instructor was Mr. Mark Van Buladaco he was our instructor last semester on CSCI03 (Computer Programing 2). On our first meeting on COMP04, he assigned a group to share something on past and present technologies. And there we go, we are the first group to share something. On the next meeting, we share something about some topics (blah! blah! blah!). That's the time when I figure out my expectations (hahaha). First of, I figured out that I have too many things to learn about being an IT student. It's not just about what the instructor says, it's about how you understand and feed your brain. Don't depend in your instructor, you must learn it on your own. All i can expect is that, my instructors will do their best to sustain the needs of learning of their students. Guiding the students to become more competitive regarding to their works. Giving them the right "medicine" to improve their skills in this particular field. Encouraging students to work hard and do their very best in this field. I give my full respect and thanks to all my instructors for sharing there knowledge to each and everyone of us.
